Da caridade aos fundos patrimoniais: evolução das atividades filantrópicas no país

Abstract

Using the institutional changes’ framework of North (2005) as a guide, the present study analyzes the institutional development of Brazilian’s philanthropy and the opportunities for its improvement. First, it describes how changes in the rules have occurred and have influenced both actors and philanthropic associations. To this end, the four main institutional perspectives were explored: cultural, political, regulatory and governance. Then, through this historical review, it lists some issues for future studies. Few studies have been proposed in the country to discuss such issues
