O crédito oficial à exportação no contexto de crise: experiências internacionais e o BNDES

Abstract

O presente artigo tem por objetivo analisar a evolução recente do crédito oficial à exportação em algumas das principais economias do mundo. O comércio internacional foi duramente afetado pela crise econômica dos últimos anos, registrando nesse período a sua maior contração desde a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Nesse contexto, as agências de crédito à exportação desempenharam um papel particularmente relevante ao garantir a disponibilidade de financiamento ao comércio exterior e consequentemente ajudar a recuperação das economias de seus respectivos países. Assim, o trabalho resume algumas das justificativas para o apoio desenvolvido por essas instituições dentro de diferentes conjunturas e suas atuações nos continentes americano, europeu e asiático, além de dedicar especial atenção às linhas do BNDES.

This article aims at analyzing the recent evolution of official export credit in some of the major economies around the world. International trade has been severely affected in the economic crisis over recent years, registering, in this period, its biggest fall since the Second World War. In this context, export credit agencies have played a particularly important role in ensuring the availability of fi nancing to foreign trade and, as a result, in boosting the recovery of the economies in their countries. Thus, this paper summarizes some of the justifi cations for support developed by these institutions within different scenarios and their roles on the American, European and Asian continents, besides paying special attention to the lines of credit at the BNDES.
