Modelagem e regulação de projetos de concessão rodoviária sob a ótica do financiador

Abstract

Investment in infrastructure is highlighted in debates about development as a fundamental factor for a country's sustained economic growth. Even after thirty years of toll road concessions, Brazil is still far from having an adequate model. In addition to providing an overview of the different governmental concession initiatives in the sector, this article discusses how aspects of the modeling and regulation of the toll road concession sector affect lenders’ perceptions about the projects, which are mostly structured as project finance.
