O projeto de integração da África: aspectos físicos, comerciais, financeiros e de investimento

Abstract

A integração da África é um tema antigo e relevante para os países do continente. Depois do notável crescimento desses países na última década, ele ressurgiu com força em fóruns sobre políticas para o crescimento econômico africano. São conhecidos seus benefícios para o desenvolvimento da região. A integração proposta pela União Africana (UA) tem dimensões diversas: monetária, financeira, jurídica, de infraestrutura, de comércio exterior, institucionais e políticas, entre outras. Prevê também a constituição de três instituições financeiras: Banco Central Africano, Fundo Monetário Africano e Banco Africano de Investimento. Este artigo visa apresentar uma agenda que pretende modificar a África em níveis sem precedentes, nas próximas décadas, e, como consequência, provocará desenvolvimentos institucionais e estabilidade de regras. A diminuição dos riscos atrairá investimentos, incluindo brasileiros, ao continente.

Africa´s integration is an old and important issue for the continent. Following the strong economic growth of its countries over the last decade, the theme has strongly reemerged at policy forums for African economic growth. Its benefits for the development of the region are well known. The integration proposed by the African Union has several dimensions: monetary, financial, legal, infrastructure, institutional and trade policies, among others. It also foresees the creation of three financial institutions: the African Central Bank, the African Monetary Fund and the African Investment Bank. This article aims to present an agenda that seeks to modify Africa in unprecedented levels in the coming decades, and, as a result, will develop the institutions and stabilize its rules. The reduction in risk will attract investments, including the Brazilian ones.
