Superação dos gargalos logísticos do setor portuário

Abstract

The objective of this article is to show the bottlenecks in the Brazilian logistics system that may constitute barriers to the continuous growth of Brazilian Exports. The authors point out some aspects of the global national matrix of transportation as well as some problems identified in the privatization process of ports, coasting trade, merchant fleet and the naval industry in comparison with the international scenario. The authors also identify areas that open opportunities for study since there is still room for productivity gains and costs reduction.
